No, we were still good to go for magazines and everything you have in possession before July 1st.   But after July 1st it will be pain in the neck and an intrusion of privacy to acquire a semiautomatic rifle.  They do not, at present, have a process in place for stripped lower receivers.   The below link will explain more.

I have been waiting on them since i heard the podcast. I assumed they were already into production from everything that had been said. I still want these and have 3-5 friends that are in the same boat.

So don't know how accurate it is but a rep at new frontier told me today several more months on the new recivers.

So does that leave enough time too get the mags budgeted up and rolling?

I think they're being conservative but yep still in progress.

Everything always takes longer to get done than we hope... but we are still committed to getting this magazine project launched.

Thanks for the reply.

Yea I'm a lil impatient. It comes from being a lover of the most uncompromised cool things. I have always had the mind set too see the light in the dark and never settle for just what is there. Always chasing the next cool thing.

That's how I know the 26gpc is going to be a killer setup. I already know what a grendel can do with a 22 inch barrel and loaded too 2.400 coal.

I'm stuck in a state with a Space Needle and I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary attention to the items. We have had numerous laws placed on us in this state in last couple yrs, I'm mean really bad laws. Anyhow I'm really hope there is enough time left to negotiate the option of 80% receiver sets as it's our only option really for us unfortunately stuck here. Was really hoping the release would beat the deadline of July 1st which didn't happen so now we can only hope for a miracle to happen and we see a notification of NF receiver sets on 80% form

One more thought that just came up was I would assume my current jig would still work as everything would still be AR(15) based measurement\trigger group holes, behind the magwel , only thing to really move would be front takedown pin location? I'm sure we can fab up the needed modification to work or if they sold the kit with jig would be nice too

I'm almost positive the take down pin holes haven't been moved.

take down pins are in same location only thing different is mag width and length it goes forward a little and back a little farther and the width of course which effects the mag release all else is the same

If nothing else, the last few years have taught me firearm enthusiasts and manufacturers are some of the most creative people on the planet, especially those people designing around the California laws.  Keep the faith you can find a legal way around those restrictions.
