Thats Marks 22" on the bottom. Heaspace is the same as the 20" above it. I can use brass from my 20" in it. I will shoot it tomorrow, and finish the die so Mark can start shooting when it gets back to him. Maybe get it to the PO by the end of the week.

Here's a couple photos of Ranger's 'goose.  18" 1:10 barrel with 4-16x44 30mm tube Mil-Dot scope.  Check out the ejection port door. [tongue]

Those are some good numbers with the 20 inch barrel JW. Running 27.3grs n530 with the 90gr AB puts me just under 2800fps. 27.6grs get me in the 2800fps range. 28.2grs gets me close to 2900fps and is a hot hot load that I'm not going to load again. 27.4 is max for me with the 6mmAR-P barrel and even 27.0grs is just fine with me. Your mongoose is kicking butt.

I dont have any Vn530, its too expensive for me. It should be a real good powder for it though. Thanks for adding some data from a similar round for comparison.
I think RJ will like what he finds with the 2015 and 322 loads he has ready. Both are stable powders. If they use them in PPC then they must be good.

I edited a couple of the posts about Marks barrel. Its a 22" barrel not a 24". Sorry for the misinformation.

I shot this ten point with my 6MMAR-P and your mongoose is making the same numbers. I used a 90gr AB

The shot on the ten point was a quarting away shot. I shot the buck just behind the ribs on the right side and the bullet exited just in front of the shoulder on the left side. That bullet destroyed the insides of the buck.

The next night I shot this boar. The bullet destroyed the spine. The stick is where the bullet made its exit. I think the mongoose will do the same thing. For people reading this! Don't ever underestimate what a 6MM will do with the right bullet.

Exactly Right! The 90AB and both of Barnes copper bullets is what its made for. Those three have worked really well on medium game for me from other 6mm's.
I'm going to test the 85TSX next. I only have a few of the 80TTSX, so I will have to wait on those until more become available.

Thats a nice buck and hog Coondog. That 6AR did a number on both of them. Aint nothing wrong with that.

Reminds me - did you see if you had an extra heat shield in the "lot" of stuff you scored on ebay?  I lost mine at somewhere in the shop or dessert walking to/from my shooting tables.

Who me? My V3 kit came with a heat shield for suppressor if you need it?

Thanks Mark - I just visited the MS web site and bought a "scratch & dent" V3 for ~ $165 with shipping.  The heat shield was only $2, so I picked up another one.
