I have a BCA upper receiver, bolt carrier, and 16" 7.62x39mm barrel that I am looking to offload. Asking price is $200 plus shipping but price is flexible.

Are these new or used parts? If they are used approximately how many rounds through the tube. Thanks

All parts are new and unused. Bought them spur of the moment before realizing for the cost of setup to load 7.62 i could do a build in something more interesting. I believe this is a true 308 bore barrel too which means no milsurp ammo

Might I help you a bit, all of the original Mini 30s are .308 barreled guns. People have been shooting them with mil surplus for decades to no ill effect. The x39 is not high enough pressure to bother a squeeze down barrel gun. They say not to shoot steel case in the AR but dozens of folks on the net have been shooting steel case 7.62 for decades in the Mini and AR to no known ill effect. With the x39 die sets, most quality dies come with both a .308 and .311 expander ball.

Seems to me that you have the perfect opportunity to build yourself a 30 ARk, the 6.5 Grendel necked up to 30, if you want something real “interesting.” Plus if you want to build a x39 based anything, you have the GCG.

I had a friend/coworker who broke two (2) bolts on his Stag Arms 7.62x39 AR shooting Soviet Mil-Surplus steel case ammo (the stuff we could buy 20~25 years ago for $100 per wooden crate).  I broke one bolt myself.  I know other folks who have broken bolts firing Russian/Soviet mil-surplus ammo in ARs.  With my 2nd bolt x39 AR, I only shoot Wolf or Tula (commercial) steel cased ammo, or any brass cased.  I believe BiggDawg also broke a bolt or two on 7.62x39 ARs...

Not to be argumentative - but not all steel cased 7.62x39 ammo is the same, and not all has proven safe to fire in ARs which have MUCH smaller bolt faces than AKs or SKSs.
