Hello all,

Joined the forum a few months back and have been reading a lot. I'm not new to the AR15 platform but up 'till now have been a plain vanilla .223 shooter. I found this forum while looking for something different (actually a .30 Herrett AR). I have become interested in the .277 Wolverine and decided I need one. I have a Spikes lower squirreled away that I'll likely use. I have never really built an AR from scratch but have assembled several from kits using completed uppers.

Looking forward to it!

Bob

Bob welcome aboard.

Like Wikster said .. ask away.

And, this is within your capabilities with the right tools.  And, yes .. you need a 277wlv .. I wished I had never got into the 6.8spc(ii and 43 from ARP) after owning a wolvie.  It's a great performer.

Looking forward to following your progress (from LA .. Lower Alabama .. you know .. first at the alphabet) [biggrin]

Welcome from Northeast Ohio.
I decided I needed a Wolverine once- then again and again. And then a Savage barrel. It's really that good of a cartridge. I have a 20", 16" in 1:7 and 1:11, and a 24" 1:10 Savage barrel. I think you'll like it. And putting an AR15 together is easy, really- I'm 60 and built my first one last year, and several more since.
