My first suspicion is a burr on the inside of the bore at the gas port.  If so, you should be able to feel it with a tight fitting dry patch on a jag pushed SLOWLY thru the bore.

Just tried a dry patch I can barely feel the gas port I have at least 4000 rounds through this rifled any burr should have clean up by now but with a port of .110 I'm not surprised

You're right, at 4k rounds, any burr has done its damage and worn away.
