What do I need to enlarge gas port?  One of my .223 SBR's is a "bolt action" now even when running with a can once I started using subsonic reloads.

3/16 dowel or a plastic jeg and run down barrel to prevent drilling to far side. Sharp drill and go through current port as a pilot hole. Once you break through will grab and pull bit hence the dowel or jeg. Work your way up until cycles and locks back. The first round will blow any burrs out. Or other option is lightweight buffer.

as baja said and just get the cheap number dill set from harbor freight, find the drill that fits the hole then step up one at a time till you get it to cycle.

Just don't opt for carbide bits. If one breaks they are next to impossible to extract. You often create burrs on the inside of the barrel after drilling. Running a tight dry patch back and forth through the barrel almost always catches and removes it. I usually use Cobalt bits for port drilling.
