Anyone who hasn't broke tools, stock, work pieces, jigs, etc. while machining, hasn't done much of it.
If you fail at a process, fail gloriously, learn from your mistake and move on. Eventually, you will be able to stand proudly on your mountain of failures and proclaim your success!

I enjoy his videos.

The very first time I actually used my new (to me 1984) Super-Max knee mill and end mills on a project I destroyed a brand new 3/4" cobalt end mill. The part found a way to move under the clamps and there went my only 3/4". I now buy end mills two to four at a time. LOL...

It could have been a lot worse but wasn't cheap either. It will happen, sometimes too often.
