Congrats! So now we should be able to get more specific info on getting the Wolverine SAAMI approved. Let us know what we need to do next so we can get to it.

Wow congrats to Mark this is a big step up for MDWS.  My 277 has been a ball to shoot its great to be part of such a group of imaginative people. I have learned a lot on this forum and hope to learn more before alshimers takes over.

Interesting.

What does this mean for 277WLV and your other wildcats?  I assume you'll be looking for SAAMI approval?

As I understand the process; you gather all the required pressure data on how the cartridge(s) performs in different temps and weather and with manufacturing tolerances held to minimum and maximum specs.  This info is submitted to a board or panel of SAAMI member companies who review the data and give you a yea or nay.  Does that about sum it up?

Odie:  MDWS is a corporate member of SAAMI, but none of our cartridges have been submitted for "acceptance" yet (but we are getting closer all the time).  Each of these steps is expensive and time consuming for a small business.  A corporate giant like Remington Arms (owned by the bigger giant "Remington Outdoors Co.") can get a new cartridge pushed through very quickly (e.g., .300 BLK and 6.8 SPC).
