What design will the dies be like?

Similar to the Hornady or the Lee/RCBS dies??

I would love to have some official .277 Wlv dies styled after the RCBS. Although I am sure there are some copyright issues with being "just" like them.

This is awesome!!

Any ETA on getting melonited barrels? Obviously down the road but do you have any timeframe? Sorry but I like a barrel that will live longer than me.

Very cool. I retire in a few yrs here..... You going to be hiring people with lil machining experience but willing to learn? And relocate?

There is a barrel manufacturer near me and he has given us a tour and I loved it. The owner there first told me about the .277 WLV and MDWS.

The 6mm Mongoose is the MDWS "enhanced" version of the 6X45... It does everything the 6X45 does and so much more.

Any idea on the expected turn around time on the barrels? I would imagine it would have several different levels to it....

In stock barrel blanks
Special fluting
Special order blanks but using same contours
Buyer supplied blank with unique contour requiring special programming
And so on..

You are correct; there are MANY variables that go into the "turn around time" equation.

We intend to stock common rifled blanks in MDWS supported calibers for which we already have reamers & gages.  Turn around for a finished barrel on these would be short... FAR less than we've endured with our previous "turner".

If someone wants a custom rifling twist with a chamber we don't have tooling for, that will take a good bit longer.

I suspect we will be adding calibers/chambers as popularity and sales warrant.

Ok. A few relatively easy questions here.

1. ETA on when we can start placing orders? I will be placing 1 mid February if it is up and running then.

2. ETA on melonite process? This is pretty big as it will extend the life of stainless barrels without affecting accuracy.

3. Will we be able to send in other parts for Cerakote? This is great to keep everything uniform if you can.
