Oregon may become worse than CA for MSR's  if I.P.43 gets passed. The title challenge stage is passed however Oregon firearms Federation says they are taking the case to the OR Supreme Court. The sponsors of I.P.43 cannot continue to gather signatures until the "Supremes" rule. After the court ruling the sponsors have until July 6 to get enough signatures to get it on the November,2018 ballot.

If this passes an Oregon hunter will only be able to shoot in specified places: private property with permission of the owner or on an official range. No more hunting or shooting your MSR on public land.

Most semi-auto rifles (think your 10/22) ,pistols and some shotguns would fall under this initiative.

The guns would have to be registered with the state, moved out of the state, sold to a dealer to be sold out of state, or turned in to the police to be destroyed. They would not be allowed to be passed on to heirs.

Worse than Kalifornia? Now that Grabbin' Gavin is Gov, with a Demo supermajority in the State legislature, I expect to see a push to ban and confiscate all semi-auto rifles, conventional or MSR's within the next year. Certainly in the next 2. It's inevitable. Plus, the NRA is pretty much impotent in CA. They work more to secure concealed carry tights than they do for common gun owners. Then brag about their very limited successes. It's one of the reasons I no longer go to NRA events anymore and only join because my shooting range/club requires it for membership. Radical rhetoric isn't the same as success.

I.P. 43 has been introduced in the Senate as SB 501.

I moved to Oregon 15 yrs ago because it seemed so free compared to Kali. Also the property taxes here were less than the annual licensing on my pickup! Ick"t felt great to be able to walk into a gun store, get an "instant check" and walk out with a gun.

Now the Marxist Democrats are totally in control and we are headed down a rat hole!

I wonder how many new "felons: will be created by the "rats"'
