These are brand new Leupold weaver style bases on a brand new x-bolt.
Buddy brought it to me and says scope does not have enough travel to sight in.
I would expect that kind of QC from Chinese junk but not Leupold.
Profound disappointment . ........

Leupold Rifleman bases and rings have been made in China for years.

That's a real shame Wade!
I started using Weaver mounts exclusively in 1992 when I started working with a world class gunsmith Brian Burgin.
I have to admit that I try all makes and brands with AR mounts, but I still use weaver for anything that's not an AR.
Not a fan of Weaver optics, but Weaver mounts have been solid over the years and are still made in the USA!

Have not tried the 180 in 308. I have used them in 3006 though.

Evan shot a doe with the 150 this morning. It went in her neck and through right shoulder ended up under the hide of the left ham. It shed a petal in the shattered shoulder.

I meant, did you flip the bases 180! The point of impact should change.

Nice bullet!

There is an old saying in the Restaurant business “You are only as good as your last meal served.”

I switched to Warne mounts and rings years ago. They are steel, well made and tough as woodpecker lips.
