Here is a quick rundown of my current wildcats.

my wildcats they are all for the ar15 and push it to the next level.

22 HELLCAT – it is a 6.5x47 lapua case just necked down and trimmed to 1.8” no neck turn no shoulder change it gives 22.-250 performance in the ar15. Designed to run the 40-65 grain bullets using the pri 6.8 mags max oal of 2.3 inches many bullets are much less than that. Can run some 70 grain bullets at mag length also but 75 and 80 grain would have to be single load. Uses 22x47 dies

6mm LYNX – is a high performance match chamber made for accuracy and maxing out the ar15 with up to 95 grain bullets at 2.3” oal. Requires neck turning and reaming after forming the cases from 6.5x47 lapua. 3100-3200 with a 95 grain bullet. This is not a round for everyone strict attention to details in reloading for this round. Has it’s own custom dies

257 BOBCAT – also designed on the 6.5x47 case same shoulder position as the lynx and the 270AR. Requires neck turn and ream. Shoots up to 115 grain 25 caliber bullets. Uses pri 6.8 mags like the rest of my x47 cased wildcats. 85 grain bullets to around 3350 fps and 100 grain 3150 uses modified 6.5x47 bushing dies

7mm VALKYRIE – premium round for the ar15 requires neck turn and reaming uses 6.8 pri mags also 2.3” oal standard but some bullets like to use the windowed mag and load to 2.35 24 inch barrel velocities 130 gn 2950, 140 grain 2750-2800, 168 gn 2500-2550. Will be offered through Mad Dog Weapons System in the near future. I offer brass conversion for this and all of my cats. Has it’s own custom dies.

Coming soon 30 SABERCAT – this cat is based on the 6mm norma dasher case with 40 deg shoulder just neck up and run through the sabercat die that creates the false shoulder load and fire form then you have the full case after fire forming. Can also be made from lc brass but needs neck turning if using lc brass. Performance is still being tested but looks like with a 16” barrel and lc brass that 110 bullets to 3100, 125 to 2950 150 to 2650 so far. Still earing in testing. Will use same mags as the rest of my cats.

45 VRAP – this is in all basic terms copied from the 45 raptor for the ar10 but I made it fit in the ar15. It uses 460 smith and Wesson mag dies and you can use 460 start load data as max load data for the VRAP. Uses 45 raptor brass and pushes a 240 bullet to 2500 fps and 300 grain bullets to 2350 or so from a 18” barrel.

Down the road there will be a 277 caliber on the dasher case and either a 8mm or 338 on the dasher case, maybe a 375

you can check out more on the hellcat here http://mdws.forumchitchat.com/?forum=557733

but the hellcat has 2-3 grains more case capacity than the 22-250 so it basically runs slightly faster than the 22-250.  the 40 grain bullets 4200-4300, 50 grain bullets 4000 fps, 55 grain bullets 3850-3900

The hellcat is the same as the 22-250 plus just a little it has 2 grains or a little more capacity than a 22-250 but its only made to shoot the 65 and under bullets that said the 70 berger will fit and the 77 smk will fit but the 75 hornady bthp won't

Conjecture on my part. But what would the MV be for a 6.5 Valkyrie ?

Inquiring minds and all that,

the case is a little long but you would be looking at 2800-2850 probably with a 123 from a 20" barrel.

wade is working on a version of a 6.5 dasher with 40 deg shoulder, i should have one in 10 to 12 weeks to start playing with. the dasher case will be better because it is shorter so can run up to the 140's at mag length. it should also have about the same speeds as i posted above.

Bruce, I think you're channeling a bit of P. O. Ackley's ghost!

the 6.5 is wades i am just gong to get one 6.5 is the only one i don't have in my stable. but knowing what i know now i would have made the valkyrie a 40 deg shoulder too. could probably have picked up another 50 fps or left the length shorter so dasher brass could be used easier and it would still run the same as it does now.
